I have grown to have a soft spot for tiny little setups. For a while, 26650 mods were all the rage and it felt like a contest to see who was willing to walk around with the biggest setup they could assemble. It seems folks are going the other route these days, and I've apparently drank the Kool-Aid. This week's #votd is the solid LifeStyle Mod by AVP in 18350 mode paired with the powerhouse Astron RDA by Cosmic Innovations. I am smitten with this little lady.
The thing I love most about the LifeStyle Mod is its simplicity. The magnetic button is a cinch to press and it just works. That may sound like a silly thing to say, but I've used mechs with so many different adjustable parts that it's refreshing to drop in a battery and just go. The mod is all stainless steel with brass contacts, and it includes not just the 18350, 18490, and 18650 tubes but also a matching drip tip. We all love our drip tips, and this little tip just adds to the miniature look that I've been using. The stylish little engravings on the LifeStyle give it some personality and make it stand out against other steel tubes.
I absolutely loved Cosmic Innovations previous RDA, the Quasar, but the Astron has taken the mantle now. It's slick, it's sleek, and it just pours out the flavor. It can chuck clouds if you want it to, but my setup here is all about getting all the nuanced tastes of my juice. There's even a squonker version if that's your thing. I've been dripping Churro lately and it tastes just phenomenal with this atty. The layers of dough, sugar, and cinnamon really come out on this setup.
